Tintswalo Property Group is a Family Owned and Run business founded by Entrepreneurs and Explorers, Ernest and Gaye Corbett in the 1970’s as Century Retail Developments.

From a humble 3 store strip development in Durban the ambitious couple set out determined to establish a formidable Property Development Business that would create a base for future generations.

Lisa (née Corbett) and her Husband Warwick Goosen joined the Business in 1996 and in 2003 the Company was re-named Tintswalo Property Group at which time the Tintswalo Lodges Portfolio was established.

The name ‘Tintswalo’ is a native Shangaan word which means ‘the intangible feeling of love, gratitude and peace that you bestow upon someone who has given you a meaningful and worthy gift.’

The Group is currently Headed up by Lisa and Warwick Goosen and has grown significantly as a multi-faceted Property Development and Management Group ranging from the Development of Retail Shopping Centres, Medical Facilities and Residential Complexes to Boutique Hotels throughout Southern Africa.

The group prides itself in developing valuable assets of enduring quality and integrity. The family’s thorough understanding of the unique South African context and its core principles of financial feasibility and sustainability, combined with design and aesthetic vision, consistently make for sound property investment opportunities throughout Southern Africa.
