Warwick and Lisa Goosen
Lisa began her career in the business in 1995. Starting in reception, Lisa soon took on the public relations function as well as oversaw various community education programs in the local communities around the family business’ retail shopping centres. Following this Lisa took on Human Resources as well as being Gaye’s personal assistant, where she learnt the skills of financial control.
Warwick began his career in the African bushveld as a field guide working for Conservation Corporation Africa. This is obviously where he learnt his great negotiating skills as there is nothing to test you like a lion in the bush. By 1994 he had met Lisa and moved to Johannesburg to become a Sales Executive for a paint company. In 1996 Warwick then moved over into the Sales and Letting post of the family business.
In 2003 Lisa and Warwick decided to start a luxury Lodge and hotel brand, and Tintswalo Safari Lodge was born. They spent 2 years constructing and establishing the lodge in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, before moving back to Johannesburg to get involved with the expansion of the Tintswalo portfolio.
Currently, Warwick holds the post of CEO of New Developments, ensuring the viability of new properties through correct site selection, design, and quality control and construction costs. Lisa holds the post of CEO of Tintswalo Property Group, ensuring the viable expansion of the company and the smooth running of all operations.
Ernest and Gaye Corbett
Ernest has been involved in the property industry since he was 21. He and Gaye were married in 1969 and together have raised three children.
Gaye and Ernest founded Century Retail Developments with the intention to survive at least 100 years in South Africa for the generations to come. This then became Tintswalo Property Group.
Today Gaye is the Chief Financial Officer and Ernest the chairman and founder. They are both still extremely involved in the running of Tintswalo’s Lodges, and passionate about the exclusive experiences that each unique Tintswalo Lodge has to offer.
Ernest and Gaye are both currently involved in mentoring new retail shopping centres and property development projects, and the expansion of the Youth for Human Rights program in South Africa and East African countries. It is their aim to contribute to a safe South Africa for their grandchildren.
