“I started in the hospitality industry 9 years ago. Everyday this industry becomes more interesting and better. My final goal is to open my own hospitality business. I am a tough and strong minded woman and believe in myself to achieve this dream.
My first job was at the Cullinan Hotel in Cape Town for 4 years. I learned all I could. I moved on to the President Hotel in Sea Point. I am always looking for a challenge. I do enjoy mixing with all the cultures of guests and staff. I enjoy working in this industry as I can learn a lot and support my two daughters both financially, and with knowledge and experience.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity of working in a place as unique and beautiful as Tintswalo Atlantic, situated at the foot of Chapman’s Peak where it meets the water of the Atlantic Ocean. Where else in the world could it be better!”
“Having been part of a Human Resources Consultancy Firm for three years, I developed a career diversifying need to explore a different and challenging industry. Joining Tintswalo Atlantic was undoubtedly the most self –fulfilling decision I have ever made. Implementing and strategising ideas has helped me create the most inviting and welcoming front face of Tintswalo Atlantic, a lodge that harmonises with marine wildlife. Even with the hectic daily routines, I am never short of a warm smile for the fortunate visitors of this piece of heaven!”
Marc Du Toit
Lodge Maintenance Manager
“I am a family orientated guy with loads of energy. I have learnt through my family the importance of patience and discipline. I am one of eight children. My close group of friends have showed me team spirit and how to be a networker. I perceive myself as a practical minded, hard worker with high standards.
I gained three years’ experience in Florida, USA working in Golf and Hospitality Industry and, through this, got certified in this field. I try to keep things simple and organised at all times and always try to think ahead and be pro-active.
Tintswalo Atlantic has allowed me the opportunity to further my skills in management and to keep learning every day. I have taken on the responsibility of Maintenance Manager of Tintswalo Atlantic and foresee a career in this field. I look forward to proving myself capable of maintaining this magnificent lodge in the highest standard expected of me and by me”.

General Managers Tintswalo Atlantic
“Joining 6 months before the completion of Tintswalo at Waterfall, we had the pleasure of being involved in the set-up of the stunning boutique lodge. It was absolutely fabulous to see the transformation of a building site to a five star luxury destination. Tintswalo at Waterfall will always be very dear to our hearts as that is where we exchanged our wedding vows”.
“Now we spend our days at the glorious exclusive shoreline lodge, Tintswalo Atlantic, in Hout Bay. Once again we have had the opportunity of seeing the evolution of a dusty site to a jaw-dropping lodge. We look forward to many happy experiences and memories that will stay with us forever
Says Melissa, “Tintswalo Atlantic is a new exclusive shoreline lodge with unlimited possibilities. My goal is to put this lodge, which I feel so deeply passionate about, not only on the map as one of the best boutique destinations in South Africa, but also as one of the most special boutique destinations in the world. And if you have had the privilege of experiencing Tintswalo Atlantic, you will know just how magical it is!”
